Bismuth has few commercial applications, none of which is particularly large.
- used in metal alloys with other metals such as iron, to create alloys to go into automatic sprinkler systems for fires
- used to make bismuth bronze which was used in the Bronze Age
- lead replacement in many ballistics and weighting applications
- other metal uses and specialty alloys
